About Colin
Colin is a photographer, designer and artist from the Isle of Lewis in Scotland's Western Isles. His years of prolific photographic work celebrates the environment and cultural heritage of his native Outer Hebrides and its themes of wild open spaces of land and sea. An artist at heart, he uses his photography to paint an evocative and vibrant picture of life in the islands at the ‘edge of the world’.
Now living in the picturesque wooded village of Inverkip by the Clyde Coast, Colin has brought this aptitude for capturing the beauty of ordinary things into his documentary approach to photographing people, events and places all over the world. He steps into the flow of life with a relaxed, unfussy technique to capture the magic moments that naturally occur - whether it be a wedding, family time, travel or journalism.
In Scotland, Colin has pioneered a new trend in HD DSLR filming capabilities as part of his wedding photography service to produce beautiful and unique photo+video short film montages of breathtaking depth and quality.
